Privacy Policy

Updated 13 October 2026.

This policy describes the features provided by tacksales.co.uk. The site contains articles, local images, navigation and a browser-based search. It does not offer registration, a shopping basket, payments or a newsletter subscription.

Reading and searching

The article search filters titles and summaries already loaded in your browser. The site code does not transmit your search words to a search service, store them in a user account or save them in browser storage.

Images, styles and scripts are served with the website. There are no advertising pixels or analytics scripts included in this version, and the site code does not set tracking cookies.

Hosting and access

Delivering a web page involves information such as an IP address, the requested address and connection details. The hosting provider may retain operational or security logs. The hosting setup determines that handling; this policy does not promise a particular log retention period.

A private preview hosted on another platform may require that platform's sign-in and use its own cookies or access records. Those platform services are covered by its own privacy information, rather than by the static website's search behaviour.

If you email

Writing to contact@tacksales.co.uk shares your email address, the message and any attachments you choose to include with the mailbox service and the recipient handling the enquiry. That information is used to read and respond to your message and deal with any follow-up it requires.

Avoid sending unnecessary personal information. You can use the same address to ask about a previous message or request its removal. Whether information must be retained to resolve an ongoing issue or meet an applicable obligation will depend on the circumstances; no automatic deletion period is promised here.

Links to other organisations

Articles link to equipment makers and equestrian organisations for further reading. Following a link takes you to a separate website with its own information practices. A reference link does not give that organisation access to messages sent to this site's mailbox.

Changes and questions

If the site's features change, this page should be updated to describe them. For a privacy enquiry, write to contact@tacksales.co.uk and identify the page or message concerned.
